I know what it is like to deal with the nonsense that insurance companies pull. They try to wriggle out of paying you what you deserve.

I dedicated my career to exposing and beating those scams. And I want you to find out what I gained in my career.

Early on in my PI practice, I got stung by an insurance adjuster. I gave great care, kept detailed records, everything by the book. Then POW, some adjuster denies the claim.

How did that happen?

The adjuster never saw the patient and I was the hands-on doctor. How could he know if this case was legitimate or not?

His denial felt wrong to me.

Does it feel wrong to you?

Oh, and had that been a one time event, that would be one thing. But when you see it happen over and over again, you know that these are their trade tactics.

It felt wrong, and knew I had to do something about it.

So, you give excellent care. You document the patients case and then Bonk! Some insurance adjusters deny your claims using some bogus sounding excuse.

Its not right.

Isn’t it aggravating when you are not paid for the great work you do?

I resolved that I would master personal injury practice.

I would learn carrier tactics, traps and manipulations, so that I could preempt them. Now I’m not talking about anything dishonest, unethical or illegal. I’m only talking about being reasonable.

Which is why I was so put off by the bad faith tactics I have seen in PI work over the years.

A Knowledge Gap

And what surprised me was how little school had prepared me for real world PI work. That was an eye-opener. As I dug deeper and deeper, I found more and more that this is not covered fully in our profession.

It’s not covered well enough in CE courses, seminars or professional journals. They do not get into the depth this excellent PI work demands.

I was on a PI mission. And I went after it with gusto. I devoured the studies. I read thousands of studies and journals. I attended the seminars. I interviewed great people, and I learned the ins and outs of PI.

I hung out with mechanical engineers and accident reconstructionists. I interviewed doctors and attorneys. I traveled to several countries for this. I learned from Melvin Belli, the king of torts. I even joined the Society of Automobile engineers for about a decade, discovering their work.

I met and visited learning from Colonel Stapp, the father of g-forces. I also attended several Stapp Conferences, discovering human kinematics, forces and human tolerances. I’ve been involved with over 100 human and biofidelic crash tests from several organizations.

Dr. A. Croft did amazing work. It was particularly helpful regarding low energy crashes from 1999-2004. Even low energy crashes can cause real injuries.

Crofts work is very key in diagnosing a critical point that will greatly affect your compensation with insurance companies. Say your patient has a history of headaches and then also has headaches after a collision. The insurance adjuster wants to call this a preexisting condition. But, it’s a different headache after the collision. This is a post-traumatic condition now. And since it is a post-traumatic headache, it’s not preexisting. The collision changed it. Be sure to label these as post-traumatic conditions.

I applied what I knew and gained experience to put carriers on their heels. I SUED INSURANCE COMPANIES AND WON.

I discovered their sneaky attitudes, tricks and tactics and little-known methods that cheat you and your patients out of what’s due.

I helped expose their fraudulent Minor Impact Soft Tissue (MIST) rip-off. It’s the no crash no cash fallacy. More on that later.

I developed a vast amount of PI information that proved most useful. But it was hard-won knowledge. Great sacrifice, effort and expense over the years.

Each problem I faced became a new policy that led to tried-and-true success. One more tool for health provider success. All set to counter the insurance companies nonsense.
